Are You Old Enough to Remember Miami Vice?
It was widely hyped when it started. My wife and I were newlyweds, and it charmed us from the pilot. Dark but very realistic portrayal of the savagery of drug dealing and interdiction with spectacular use of cameras and music. I just watched the pilot again on NBC.com, where it is free with a few annoying ads. It still overwhelms me with its artistry.

ReplyDeleteremembered fondly, and was great TV for its time.
ReplyDeleteJohnson was very underrated as an actor. The music was also outstanding.
ReplyDeleteI watched a bit of it at the time and I thought it was lame, with awful music.
ReplyDeleteJeff is a heretic! To the stake he goes.
ReplyDeleteBe careful! You might trip over your dress shoes with no socks.
