I Keep Hearing the Claim That There is a Large Movement Among Christians That Calls Itself "Antiscience"

Hence the "Science is Real" bumper stickers. 

But when I search for the word "antiscience," I find almost entirely pages where this phrase is used to  denigrate Christians and conservatives who are skeptical of evolution's 100% proven status, of the safety of vaccines (although admitting that there are leftist anti vaxxers as well), of the accuracy of claims about COVID19,  of climate change,  Old Earth.  

There are a few others that are not conservative or Christian (we never went to the Moon, flat Earth, and for me a new one: Australia does not exist).  This last one is bad: some friends just moved there.

The core of this antiscience claim is that claims that remain controversial (at least to many Americans) or are not proven science (predictability, experimentally verifiable, falsifiable) and often highly politicized are proof of an antiscience movement. 

Newtonian mechanics, optics, mathematics, astronomy,  engineering,  descriptive biology seem pretty well safe in the Christian community.

Now some of these accepted sciences are not accepted on the left.  Fire  cannot melt steel (from Dr. Rosie O'Donnell); there are more than two sexes; blacks are intellectually and morally superior to whites. But the left never calls these groups antiscience.

I get another surprise.  PJMedia links to a NSFW video of an artist at NYU arguing police should shut down free speech.  Even better is Huffington Post's description of her work:

California Voters Support Laissez Faire

LOS ANGELES -- The adult film industry scored a big victory in California as voters Tuesday rejected a ballot proposition that would have required porn film actors to wear condoms in all their sex scenes.

Proposition 60 was portrayed as a workplace health and safety measure -- albeit an unusual one -- that critics said would have chased the vast adult-film industry out of state.

With 96% of the vote counted, the proposition was defeated by a 53.9% to 46.1%

What about protecting workers from unnecessary risk?  What about reducing STDs?  Drive businesses out of state that don't involve degrading people: good.  But suddenly a business complains and the population of Sodom and Gomorrah is concerned.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A public display of one of Shakespeare’s classics is offering a very revealing performance, but the participants said it is not about shock value.

CBS2 was there for a clothed dress rehearsal for the dressed-down performance of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” by Torn Out Theater.
The all-female cast will be all nude come showtime next month inside Prospect Park in Brooklyn. The group also performed earlier this year in Central Park.

“We were really interested in getting an audience to be able see nudity as non-sexual, non-threatening, and eventually not even strange,” said director Pitr Strait. “By the end the play, it’s normal.”

As CBS2’s Valerie Castro reported, the actors said it sends a message of body positivity.

“It’s being courageously vulnerable and generous with yourself as an artist, first and foremost, and saying, I’m doing this for this purpose,” said Suzannah Gratz.

Court documents disclose that DLW attempted to have the dog perform intercourse on the stepdaughter, but that ultimately failed.

There were 105 cases of the maltreatment of horses in Switzerland in 2014 — 10 percent of which involved people having sex with them, according to Tier im Recht, an animal welfare group.

“This rate is relatively elevated compared with other types of animals,” Andreas Rüttimann, a legal expert with the group, told reporters, The Local reported.

Here.  From the Sept. 24, 2015 Daily Mail comes a report of a bully beating up a blind kid at Hungtington Beach High School, and a football player coming to the blind kid's defense.  The bully was arrested and charged by the police. So who did the school punish?  Yup, the football player.  There's video of the incident so the school did not err because they did not know what happened. Civilizational decline?  No, what happens when liberals are in charge.

Many years ago, a friend was a security guard at a drug store in Rohnert Park.  The photo developing departmenty asked him to look at some pictures they had developed.  They were almost entirely pictures taken on an elementary school playground focused on the butts of little girls.  Nothing unlawful, but certainly Bay Area normal in its perversion.  He waited around to see who picked up the pictures, because the playground was the elementary school where his daughter and mine attended.  A few days later, he is at the school picking up his daughter and he sees butt photographer on the playground taking pictures.  So he grabs him and takes him to the principal's office and explains his concerns.  Butt photographer claims he was hired by the architectural firm preparing to remodel the school.  The [principal asks for the name of the firm that hired him.  Butt photographer doesn't know.  The principals' reaction was not to call the police or order this guy off school property but, "John, did you force this guy to come to the office?"
