Glock 21 45 caliber with ten round magazine. There is a suggestion he had an oversize magazine, but they have not shown anything like a drum magazine for pistols.
ReplyDeleteNational gun bans is of course what they want. That is they blame it on the CA laws not being national. So much for the red flag laws that they enacted.
ReplyDeleteI heard some in the media cry about how powerful 45 ACP is over the "standard " 9mm.
Bringing out hysterical grieving family members for the camera is disgusting. I can't understand why someone would come to the camera in that state unless it was to push an emotional agenda. Clearly since that is what the media wants they delight in showing sobbing interviews.
The so called "reporting" is so damn biased in these events: "Yet another mass slaughter!" "More gun violence!" "When will the carnage end and sensible gun safety be enacted!" Just a sample of the crap I heard from the major "free" tv outlets from those claiming to be objective reporters and journalists. Then they show a quick review of clips of other events from recent years to gin up the feeling this is a national crisis. Pure propaganda!
Since I posted my comment Jackie Speier CA Democrat has been crying that the only solution is CA laws becoming national (strange since the murderer followed all CA laws apparently other than murder). Also the media is now showing interviews of victim family members screaming for gun bans and confiscation now.
ReplyDeleteThe media keeps harping on an"extended " magazine being used.
ReplyDeleteAlthough there are descriptions of "extended" magazines, I am willing to bet that they were simply standard capacity, non-neutered mags.
ReplyDeleteAFAIK, the only 'extended' magazine for a G21 is the standard 13 round version - which would not be a significant factor in the outcome here.
ReplyDeleteThere are aftermarket 26 round magazines for the G21.
ReplyDeleteAny magazine holding more than 10 rounds ileggal to sell in California. I do not think they are even legal if they were grandfathered in, as the 1989 law allowed.
ReplyDeleteIf you bought the magazine before 1989, you can keep it, but if you want to sell it, it has to be sold out of state. You can't have a private in-state transfer like you can with a pistol that is not on the Cal Department of Justice "pistols allowed for peons" list.
ReplyDeleteSo if he did have a greater than 10 round magazine he was probably breaking that CA law. Now the banners will argue that law should be national. A dem house would likely support it. Could the senate be persuaded to as well? Of course a reasonably practiced shooter can switch (or flip) a 5 round magazine quite quickly.
