I found this in the comments on an Instapundit item about how vegans and vegetarians are twice as depressed as meat eaters. This should be no surprise. B12 deficiency symptoms include depression. Where do you get B12? Mostly meats. There are vegetarian sources of B12, but vegans do not eat stuff on this list, and I suspect most vegetarians are getting enough.
I had a nephew who was vegan but ate Jack-in-the-Box tacos because they contained no meat.
If that brown material in the Jack-in-the-box tacos isn't meat, I'm never eating them again.
