This seems like a pretty blue collar town. To my surprise, less than 9% of adults over 25 did not graduate high school. Not surprisingly, people with a graduate degree make roughly twice the high school dropouts. Another "Duh":
The poverty rate among those that worked full-time for the past 12 months was 1.43%. Among those working part-time, it was 17.05%, and for those that did not work, the poverty rate was 18.64%.
Work is the most effective anti-poverty program known.
