12/17/18 Fox News channel 19:
BLANCHESTER, OH (FOX19) - A Clinton County school district is the latest in the Tri-State to allow teachers and other staff members to carry guns.
The Blanchester School Board voted Monday night to allow trained staff members to carry the weapons on campus.
The unanimous vote was based on a public resolution, sources tell FOX19 NOW.
In Texas about 200 (about 20%) of public school districts have chosen to authorize non-law enforcement armed staff, i.e. teachers and/or administrators.
ReplyDeleteTo my knowledge these are all rural-ish, smaller districts that can't afford their own police forces and have potentially long response times from the local police or sheriff.
Even a pack of blind squirrels can find an acorn now and then.
ReplyDeleteIt's harder than if the squirrels are working independently, but it happens.
They're still squirrelly as squirrels, so I think Twain's observation is still valid.
