Chair of the DNC Explaining Why Democrats Are Not More Successful
Yes, pastors, Fox News, and the "NRA newsletter" (whatever that is) are the problem. It has been 37 years since I heard a pastor give even a slightly political sermon. Most are pretty conservative, but they know that their mission is saving souls, not politics. You can see why the left would like to drive Christians out of business and close down churches.

They don't give political sermons because their churches would lose their tax exempt status!
ReplyDeleteI think that's wrong, and pastors ought to have free speech. After all, we see plenty of them on the left making all sorts of political statements when not in church.
Tax exempt status is only at risk if they endorse candidates or specific legislation, but the fear factor makes some stay quiet; others do not think it is part of the job.
