Discover Card called to ask about a suspicious attempt to charge $258 with FedEx, which they declined. Very good. Then they canceled that account number, and in two days had my new cards delivered by...FedEx.
I had a similar experience with a new Capital One VISA. They sent me an email about a suspicious charge and directed me to call them to see if it was fraudulent. It was, and they immediately terminated the old card and sent a new one.
