IDPA vs. IPSC

It appears that the difference between IPSC and IDPA is that IPSC is like Formula 1 racing: bring your neatest trick gun ("race gun"); IDPA is for ordinary people with off-the-shelf guns, more like SCCA.

  1. As IDPA shooter, I approve the claims of this meme

  2. And since I am not an USPSA shooter, I cannot confirm or deny this meme

  3. Well, not entirely . .... there are divisions in USPSA for stock guns.

  4. Also IPSC makes *NO* pretense about tactics, it's a race game.

IDPA pretends to be concerned with tactics, but is still a bit of a race game, and is 5-10 years behind the game on tactics (which is understandable).
