I went to Reno to visit friend who is terminal. He has an aircraft hangar filled with everything imaginable and unimaginable. Hoarding is a terrible problem. Somewhere back there is the Ark of the Covenant from the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

When you go in there to help clean it out wear a mask and gloves. Old spray paint cans and other cans that have lost there labels in the pictures. Places like that almost classify as a super fund site.
ReplyDeleteI hate to admit it, but my place is at least as bad. Flat spots in my shop are about non-existent. Besides the 40 X 60 barn that holds 3 shops, we have a 40 X 75 barn that's full of "stuff", much/most of it pretty much junk. Cases and cases of beer cans that were to become a solar collector; that's just for starters.

Just out of curiosity. How many books are only useful to you, and not your family?
ReplyDeleteaugustrrr: too many. Most of this is model airplane building components. If there was an easy way to sort, categorize and sell to model airplane people, there might be hundreds of dollars worth of stuff there.
