I have been working my way free of stuff I no longer need, and in some cases I am mystified by it. This is the back of an AITech 10 port USB 3.0 hub. I would keep it as a spare, but the root port seems to take a plug that doesn't seem like those used in newer USB hubs.

That's a USB B-type female connector. Get a cable with USB B-type male on one end and and USB A-type male on the other and you're good to go.

That sure looks like a regular type B port, like you would see on a USB printer.
