About to Lose My Mind
There are so many how-tos out there that explain how to share Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.04 files... but none of them work. Does anyone have one that does? Sharing files by emailing them is dumb. I am sure Microsoft is at falt, but the enormous number of different how-tos using Samba and NFS is discouraging, since none actually work.

Might want to do some digging, but if you get something like this:

You should be able to do this: http://www.tp-link.us/faq-420.html
Samba can definitely work, but if it is too ornery you could always use dropbox.
ReplyDeleteIs this an unintentional repeat post?
ReplyDeleteI thought you finally solved that problem months ago.
Mariner: I did but it stopped working.
ReplyDeleteIf it was working before and then stopped working, I'd suspect some security setting was changed inadvertently or by a software update--I'd check to see if the Windows Firewall is allowing CIFS data to pass.
