Other pages indicate that I have to add an entry to /etc/fstab, but the examples they give do not work.

Shared Folders From Windows 7 to Debian Wheezy
I was able to turn om shared folders to Ubuntu 10.04 using VMWare Player with only minor difficulty. But Debian Wheezy seems to be uncooperative. The shared folders option is enabled in VMWare Player,
and is named linuxcnc. The instructions for how to make this visible on
Linux are contradictory.
http://superuser.com/questions/423880/where-is-the-shared-folder-in-linux-inside-vmware-player
says it is visible under /mnt/hgfs/. But nothing appears under /mnt/hgfs.
Other pages indicate that I have to add an entry to /etc/fstab, but the examples they give do not work.
