There's Erie v Tompkins, but where is International Shoe, known by every first year law student?
ReplyDeleteInternational Shoe still exists, even though it was renamed six or seven times after reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions. Supposedly one of the Officers of the current company was surprised that it was such a well known case, since to them it was a relatively minor tax case, having nothing to do with jurisdiction.
