Actors in Torch MurdersPaul and Lawrence Keene (upper right), Ypsilanti, Mich., laborers, were questioned by authorities in connection with brutal torch murders of two Ypsilanti high school boys and their girl companions along a lonely “lovers’ lane.” The brothers protested that they were unconscious from whisky at the time the murders took place. Thomas Wheatley (lower right) was one of the four young people slain and burned. Harry Lore (left) also was a victim of the fiend slayer or slavers,
