I have already made Yahoo my default search engine. I will probably switch all my email lists to Yahoo mail. This is a review of free alternatives to Blogger (another Google owned product). Have any of you used these other free blogging services? Is there an easy path for moving an existing blog into these?
I am also switching from firstnamelastname@gmail.com to firstnamelastname@yahoo.com. But automatic forwarding in gmail does not seem to work. More Google Evil? No, just going in yahoo spam folder.

I've never had anything but trouble with Yahoo, and finally cut the cord on all Yahoo services.
ReplyDeleteI'd be concerned, since they've had massive data breach problems in the past, and there are reports that they've searched customers' email for US intelligence services (I don't know if that's accurate, but it's from Reuters... whether that's any better than CNN may be doubtful.)
For a search engine I've been using DuckDuckGo for a long time; works great and doesn't track you.
I also use a VPN to help avoid prying eyes; I've been using PIA (Private Internet Access) and that works very well.
Whatever you use, I wish you luck (from my experience with Yahoo, you'll need it!)
And yes, I still use Google, as they are my actual ISP. (Google Fiber)
