Do You Suppose Islamic Extremists Did This? Or Can We Blame the Alt-Right?
12/15/16 BBC:
Traces of explosives have been found on victims of the EgyptAir plane that crashed into the Mediterranean in May, Egyptian investigators say.
A criminal investigation would now begin into the crash of the Airbus A320, the civil aviation ministry said.
Flight MS804 from Paris to Cairo plunged into the sea on 19 May killing all 66 people on board.
A source close to the French investigation says they have doubts about Egypt's latest findings.
They told the BBC there had been "difficulties" working with the Egyptian authorities and that their main concern was to see the remains of the French victims returned to France.
The plane had been carrying 40 Egyptians, including the 10-member crew, and 15 French nationals.
Clayton,
ReplyDeleteFraternally, I do not use the word "Extremist" when speaking of Muslim's who operate upon the foundational tenets of their dogma.
I have no problem using the word "radical" if used in the context of or going to the root (radix) or origin. (It seems that current usage means something outlandish instead of its real meaning.)
Murdering and lying (taqiyya)is codified and normative. Not doing so is actually the more extreme.
I am suspicious of the Egyptian investigators.
ReplyDeleteWe shall see.
The French comment seems to indicate that the French .gov is not interested in determining blame for the crash. Mustn't make the Islamic crowd look bad... Idiots.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, the Europeans were gutted by WW1&WW2. They never really recovered. Too many of their best died in stupid battles directed by their worst ever military leaders, particularly in WW1. Both sides would have benefited if they had shot every one of their own officers above the grade of colonel.
I disagree. I think the French very much want to find out the cause, because if it was, as is likely, a problem with the AirBus, they need to find and fix it.
ReplyDeleteThe Egyptians, on the other hand, have a very corrupt government and all sorts of conflicting and odd motives. Hence is suspect them far more than the French.
