When I was in college, a fellow student referred to someone as "too stupid to buy bread at the market without assistance."
Now I see that US Geological Survey has to give guidance:
The USGS responded to one twitter user who asked, “Is it safe to roast marshmallows over volcanic vents? Assuming you had a long enough stick, that is? Or would the resulting marshmallows be poisonous?”
“Erm,” the USGS replied. “We’re going to have to say no, that’s not safe. (Please don’t try!)”
Of course, it
is Twitter.
It's probably just an idle thought that crossed their mind, or a came up in a conversation.
ReplyDeleteIt would be amusing to try it over lava though. Just to see.
And of course the USGS says it's unsafe. If they didn't and some idiot tried it and fell in they'd get sued.
