My Wife May Be Turning Into A Penguin

She's ready to try Mint Linux.  The primary reason we did not convert earlier to the one true faith was that we were teaching at CWI, and needed to be able to read and write Microsoft Word files, which OpenOffice mostly did.  Since I doubt that we will ever teach there again, maybe we'll abandon Microsoft.

  1. You can always install Windows in a VirtualBox vm if you need it again.

  2. consider also using CodeWeaver Crossover Linux to run MS Office

alternatively install your licensed copy of Windows in a VM using VMWare Player or Oracle VirtualBox
