SPOKANE, Wash.
Spokane police had to stop accepting new concealed gun license applications for a brief period due to a recent spike in the number of people applying for permits.
The Spokesman-Review reports (http://goo.gl/q0P3bC ) that the increase in applications led police to stop fingerprinting Monday afternoon so they could get through a line of people that had formed before the end of the day.
Police spokeswoman Teresa Fuller says the unusually high number of applicants has come after last week's mass shooting in San Bernardino, California. The attack left 14 people dead and 21 injured.
