My Mother Passed Away in her Sleep Last Night

This was not a surprise; her liver was failing when entered the hospital a couple days ago.  Because of her misery the last few years, this was something of a blessed release.  She was 99.  As the Salvation Army (of which she was an ordained minister back in the 1930s) likes to say of its officers, "promoted to glory."

  10. Well, she certainly made old bones, and she has some nice grandchildren (and great-grandchildren, IIRC).
