So, How Often Does Amazon Sell One of These?

1907 Saint Gaudens Twenty Dollar PR69 PCGS $4,194,800.00 & FREE Shipping

At that price it better be free shipping!  Make sure you click over.  It's a gorgeous coin.

And read the customer reviews.  They are a riot.

I had no idea the US Mint did platinum coins.

  1. I was recently telling my wife how pretty the old gold coins were so this intrigued me. Your link is broken by the way. It's (http://www.amazon.com/1907-Saint-Gaudens-Twenty-Dollar/dp/B00SS194GY/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_2?s=collectibles&ie=UTF8&qid=1457496377&sr=8-2-fkmr1&keywords=st.+gaudens+twenty+dollar+pr69).

I haven't been an active coin collector since I started high school. Not being familiar with the grading designation, I googled PCGS and found they are a dealer and have their own grading system or at least their own notation for the "standard" grading system. It appears they also have a listing for this coin. Assuming I got all correct variant of the 1907 $20 St. Gaudens with lettered edge (there seem to be 15 in existence), they list the coin in PR69 condition for only $2.7M. My recommendation, for what it's worth - and I value it at what you paid for it - is not to buy it!

Having said all that, the customer reviews are entertaining!
