I took the upgrade. One nice gain is that it seems to remember multi-monitor setups better. It is otherwise pretty minor in UI changes.
One annoying change. I maximize Thunderbird on my main display and the Task Bar goes away. It is still there on the other displays. At least at 300% scaling; not at 250% and lower.
I spoke too soon. You sometimes need to enter and exit full screen mode in the application to fix it.
