China's Food Crisis

China is importing vast quantities of food because farmland is being confiscated for industrial plants and housing projects.  This is driving up world food prices and making China increasingly dependent on the rest of the world.  They may be more readily injured by sanctions than is immediately obvious.

  1. No sanctions won't hurt China. Starving the general population is a feature not a bug.
