My father had it when he was a child. Mild case; left him with one leg shorter than the other. He was born in 1921, I in 1945. Have not heard of it other than I think maybe I read something a month or so ago. I remember childhood shots and the sugar cubes.

ReplyDeleteSort of. That it was on its way out and the vaccine didn't do much. I have met actual polio victims, so I am pretty sure it's a real thing!
