Unfortunate Discovery

I went to a public astronomy event yesterday to show people the Sun.  Yes, with a solar filter.

The alt-az mount and the length of the Televue tube meant that I could not get the scope high enough to aim at the Sun.  Fortunately, the crowd at cloudynights.com provided an adjustment strategy for the mount.

Rotating the azimuth assembly holding 60 degrees and reinstalling the bolts allows access to the zenith:
