Google is Now Funding the Gun Control Groups
Here. Immediately change your search engine to any competitor: Bing,Yahoo, or make an alternate suggestion. In spite of The Intercept's characterization of it, the project Google is funding is really an an attempt to reduce violence by persuasion, not gun control.

I'd suggest duckduckgo.com. They don't save your searches so they can't track or release them.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't really new. Google has been anti-2nd-Amendment for a very long time.
ReplyDeleteAs for alternative search engines, I use DuckDuckGo. It isn't perfect, but it gets the job done most of the time. Then there Disconnect.
Google might be amenable to gun prohibition efforts in general, but this particular effort seems pretty innocuous, maybe even praiseworthy, given the (admittedly tendentious) description at the link. The funding doesn't seem to be aimed at seeking new laws. The fundees say this approach is more effective than "lobbying Congress or state lawmakers". In short, this doesn't seem to be a camel-back-breaking straw.
ReplyDeleteI admit I may be missing something.
I've been using privatelee.com for about 10 years now.
ReplyDeleteWorks great.
Also, ditch chrome
