I am watching the original series from the 1960s. There are so many great sight gags. Morticia throws the leftover breast of alligator into the aquarium of Tristan and Isolde (piranhas). After a few seconds of bubbling water, the wishbone flies into the air.
Carolyn Jones and John Astin have such flawless comic timing. The little girl who did Wednesday was amazingly good. And the giant playing Lurch was just amazing with what could have been a simple one faced monster.
Lurch was played by Ted Cassidy. I watched this video bio on him and his career recently that was pretty interesting. He did a lot more than just give life to Lurch, especially with his voice. Here is a link to the video.

Ted Cassidy also played Harvey Logan in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" ("There are no rules in a knife fight!"). The real Harvey Logan, according to his wanted poster, was 5-7 and weighed 140 pounds. Hollywood magic.
