Astronomy

Last night I spent with the grandkids showing them how to use the Meade 80mm refractor I gave them for Christmas.   Tonight I rolled Big Bertha out for the first time in months (clear sky,  but frightfully cold).

It was lovely to look at the Orion Nebula at 156x and the Pleiades at 23x (almost gets the entire cluster in field of view with incredibly bright blue stars).  It is getting easier to get it from garage to front porch,  but I am still looking forward to getting the telescope shed built.

At this point we are waiting for the HOA Architectural Review Committee to approve it.  Next house, no HOA. The ARC is to get standard and consistent appearance,  and the outbuildings others have erected are either not complaint ore were slicked have no problem getting our 7.5' x 7.5' shed approved.

  1. Why would you ever live in a place that can determine what you can build on your property?
