As Much Contempt As I Have for the Political Wing of the FBI

Who somewhat resemble a more subtle form of the KGB, the antierrorist part seems to be doing a decent job.  1/16/19 Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
Federal authorities on Wednesday arrested a metro Atlanta man they said was plotting to attack the White House but instead got entangled with the FBI.
Hasher Jallal Taheb, 21, of Cumming, was taken into custody in Gwinnett County while allegedly trying to exchange his vehicle for explosives. He later appeared in court in downtown Atlanta in the case brought by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force. Authorities said Taheb was acting alone and they made no accusation that he had ties to any terrorist group. He was arrested after a tip from a resident who said the young man had been radicalized.
Taheb’s alleged attack on the White House was supposed to take place around Thursday and involve various explosives and firearms, though even days before he claimed he had still never fired a gun in his life, according to the criminal complaint. He said he could learn fast, the document said. Authorities also said he planned to travel to the Islamic State territory but acknowledged he didn’t have a passport...
By mid-December, Taheb had allegedly broadened the scope of places he wanted to attack to include the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial and a synagogue. He said he wanted to use handguns, IEDs, an AT-4 anti-armor weapon and hand grenades....On Wednesday, Taheb went to a Buford store parking lot for the purpose of him and the FBI worker exchanging their vehicles for semi-automatic rifles, explosive devices and an AT-4, the complaint said. A second informant inspected the vehicles and told Taheb the money was in the ashtray of one of them.
A second FBI worker drove up with a tractor trailer, which had the weapons inside, though the FBI had rendered them useless. Taheb took the weapons in a backpack and was arrested by agents.
We should not be complacent; Islamic radicals can be quite effective at spreading terror, but it does often seem that the widespread first cousin incest problem in the Arab Middle East and the resulting low IQs often produce people to organize a terrorist attack that is truly dangerous.  A liberal dream: safe terrorism.

  1. Here, I fixed it for you:

  2. "the Political Wing of the FBI"

There is no "Political Wing of the FBI". That's the really scary part of it - the Trump fishing expedition was ginned up by ordinary agents. IOW, the entire agency is infested with that political culture.

  3. This guy is a loser for sure, but he was quite alone in his insanity. He had no friends, no weapons, no hope of getting any, until the FBI offered them to him.

This was kinda like shooting fish in a barrel, since this guy was only dreaming of being a big bad terrorist; the FBI got him when they gave him a rocket launcher which couldn't be fired. He had no friends until the FBI came along, and lied to him & pretended to go along with his great "plans" of blowing up the WH.

I'd be more impressed if this guy had actually been a threat; without help from the FBI, he wouldn't have been. File this under "Never Give a Sucker an Even Break."

  4. A local terrorist wannabe was caught by the Sheriff's Office down the street form Sheriff(former) Joe Arpaio's house. The guy was trying to get a Sheriff deputy close enough to him to stab, but the officer shot him, and the terrorist is now recovering from wounds and awaiting trial.

    The FBI was not involved.

Oh, and yeah, ISIS. We've had a few of those in or from Arizona in the last few years, including the three idiots who plotted to kill people at the Mohammad Cartoon Contest in Texas (which resulted in two of the idiots being shot to death).

  5. SO someone reported a dude who was off his rocker and the FBI then orchestrated the whole thing? Talked him into trying to acquire weapons and planning for a Big Thing...then busted him.

    I've heard this story before.

  6. Typical FBI actions. Makes one wonder, if they weren't there holding their hand and expediting everything for them, if anything would ever actually happen? Might just be make-work to pad their numbers and justify their existence. Every time they bust a group, it turns out the biggest cheerleader that kept pushing them to "do something" is the FBI plant. They seem to specialize in being "facilitators". Maybe the FBI should be charged as co-conspirators?
