So Why Does Television News Still Set The Agenda?

The July 10, 2012 Gallup Poll reports that only 21% of Americans have a "great deal" or "quite a lot" of confidence in television news--and amazingly enough, liberal and moderate confidence in television news is now down there with the conservatives.  Yet the left, through their domination of television news, still sets the political agenda.  Amazing, isn't it?

  1. Agenda setting is accomplished by being assigned the task of what news to put in front of the consumer by a large number of people. TV and newspapers do this as a core part of their tech and business models. The new media is all about permitting choice and thus the new media model does not have this strong feature of agenda setting.
