As Sheriff John once said in an interview after his show was cancelled, when he did the Hostess Cupcakes and Twinkies commercials, he had to be careful to say, "Creamy" filling. There's probably dairy in the products but not cream.
Sheriff John hated those commercials, because he felt like he was trading on the trustworthiness of his persona as Sheriff John. My mother thought they were particularly junk food and fed us Van de Kamp. Back when we boys ate like the traveling harvest crew and I could digest sugar straight out of the bowl.
