Copy Cat Crimes

I have written about the problem of copycat mass murders before, and I have mentioned copycat mass murders in 1890s Chicago using illuminating gas.  My research assistant found this tragedy where the copycat aspect is utterly undeniable.  Austin weekly statesman. (Austin, Tex.), 03 Feb. 1887:
