In his book of dictated stories, "Trails Plowed Under", Charles M. Russell, the artist who painted Montana cowboy and Indian themes, had a story about an Indian that helped the narrator. The "punchline" of the story was that the narrator was lucky the Indian that saved him was a "Bad Indian".
