Good News: Supreme Court Grants Cert
New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc., et al., Petitioners v. City of New York, New York, et al. This is the case challenging New York City's prohibition on licensed gun owners taking their pistols to locations outside New York City. (Odd that they don't want Satan's instruments removed btheir little piece of paradise.) While a positive outcome for this insane law by itself does not do much for gun rights elsewhere, it does give the newly conservative and apparently pro-gun majority a chance to provide "guidance" (tongue lashing, I would prefer a cat of ninetails lashing) to the courts of appeal.

"newly conservative and apparently pro-gun majority"
ReplyDeleteClayton,
There is no "pro-gun majority" as soon as Roberts is reminded of the same thing he was reminded of in ObamaCare.
I suspect gun rights matters more to Roberts than obscure tax law.
