LED Bulbs

I have been waiting for 100W equivalent LED light bulbs, and it appears they are now available.

So I ordered this 4-pack.  At $7.49 per bulb, they are still expensive, but consuming only 14 watts they should pay for themselves, probably before I die.  Still cheaper than the 65W equivalent LED floods I bought for the kitchen a while back.

  1. Watch out for RFI (radio frequency interference) problems with LED bulbs. I've bought several from Costco and those are Feit, I believe. Interferes with digital over the air tv especially on some channels--light on pixelation/off no pixelation. Just something to consider if running near anything possible sensitive to....

  2. IKEA also sells them. We're slowly changing over to all LED. As the fluorescents in the kitchen are dying we're replacing them with LED tubes. Just pull the ballast, replace one of the end pieces with a NON-shunted version and hook the wires to that end.

  5. Turns out Ghostery was blocking what it thought was an advertisement link. Thanks for the tip.
