My Honey-Do Projects Are Cooler Thsn Yours!

At least, higher precision.   Our Samsung washing machine has an annoying "feature."  It has a key and coin trap which should be emptied periodically   Because of its design, there is a small quantity of water that must be drained first.  It makes the washing machine smell ugly if you do not drain it regularly.

The drain hose and coin trap are in an awkward position that requires Rhonda to get down on her knees to open it, then hold the hose while it drains into a very low wall dish.  The hose is flexible enough that you cannot leave it to drain on its own.

So she asked for a fixture that allows her to put the hose inside and drain.

This involved grabbing a piece of Delrin and excavating a cylinder of a size for that PVC fitting to sit comfortably.  This was big effort.   ChatGPT almost gave me a useful answer.  Its coding skills are right up there with its medical research skills.   Then I tapped a 6-32 hole in the Delrin base and two through holes in the PVC:  The upper hole large enough for the head to pass through.  I still have a problem with the hose from the machine is not really long enough.   I think I will slide a .5" ID hose onto it,  condom style to get more length.
