Why Do People Get So Paranoid About the Shutdowns?

Nearly 1,200 people in Colorado have died with COVID-19 in their systems, health officials say

Colorado has made a stunning and significant change to the way it counts COVID-19 deaths that reduced the statewide figure from more than 1,000 to 878, according to a report.

The change came after Colorado’s Department of Public Health admitted that its COVID-19 death toll was counting those who tested positive for the coronavirus but had died of other causes, Fox 31 Denver reported late Friday.

The department now says 1,150 Coloradoans who died had COVID-19 but only 878 of those deaths were “due to” COVID-19....

Fox News on Friday reported on one of those stories as part of a report that found that the hodgepodge way states counted COVID-19 deaths was a reason why some people believe the U.S. COVID-19 death figure was exaggerated.

The story involved a 35-year-old man from Montezuma County who died May 4 of alcohol poisoning but whose death was counted in Colorado’s COVID-19 death toll.

“The state is reporting that death as a COVID death, but our health department wanted to let people know that even though the person did have the virus, they did not die from it,” the Montezuma County Health Department said about the man's death.
You wonder how much of the horrendous national death toll is inflated.

  1. Oh, but that's just Faux News, doncha know? People are dropping dead from this deadly virus, young men, in the bloom of health in the morning, dropping dead at the dinner table that night, with no sign of illness.
My brother breathlessly reported on Fecal Book that the woman across the street from him died in the night and after they carted her away but before they got on the truck they put their hazmat suits in a hazmat bag, "put new masks on and with a can from the back of sprayed their shoes, including the soles!"
Of course, he's a Leftist and married to someone who thinks Pol Pot was a right wing extremist, so they're sure this is the Black Death.

  2. Would have made great video. I am guessing that they did not do so.

  3. Alcohol Poisoning: wasn't that the approved cure for Covid19 by the Iranian Mullahs

In Mexico the closing of the beer factories has pushed people to make their own, killing another 120 plus mexicans.

My concern is that since Covid19 usually prompts pneumonia and its blood clotting symptom prompts strokes we are going to get too locked up with the final cause of death instead of what prompted the cause.

  4. True. I'll remind him. Somehow he could also divine that this wasn't a Covid death, but as your Colorado post indicates, if she had some variant of Corona in her body, it will doubtless be counted. The mindset must be maintained until the desired result is reached.

  5. Plenty of undercounting too, I suspect. The symptoms are so variable that identifying a cause can be tricky.
