Righthaven's Number Is Up

From Ars Technica:
Looks like it's time to turn out the lights on Righthaven. The US Marshal for the District of Nevada has just been authorized by a federal court to use "reasonable force" to seize $63,720.80 in cash and/or assets from the Las Vegas copyright troll after Righthaven failed to pay a court judgment from August 15.
Tomorrow will be a day for dancing.

  1. This is great news. I'm afraid I never heard of the Righthaven mess until you started blogging about it. If it does get shut down, I hope it will serve as a warning to other people who don't appreciate the difference between harmless use of material and the violation of author's rights.
