Musk Will Certainly Plant Our Flag on Mars

I knew that Starlink was working on direct-to-cell service.  It is here in beta for T-Mobile and OneNZ customers (in New Zealand).  It is text messaging only at the moment and not generally available outside U S. and N.Z. yet.

Once this is fully available for other carriers,  I cannot picture not having this.  There are so many places without cell service.   Some parts of the West are so remote that even FM radio is not available.   I suspect GM's OnStar will get this soon
