It was finally time to remove most of the bandages. The 12" long cut that most patients kid needed to be a zipper was not in the Frankenstein's Monster category. The bandage covering the drainage tube holes was an utterly disgusting pus and blood mixtures. There were four rectangular slits that had not closed up. This morning, they are angry red slots that are not bleeding but look like they would be happy to start.
I am apparently past the controlled substance pain level. Tylenol has been sufficient these last two days.
I am beginning to get an appetite again. It is not severe and I will master it, not the other way around.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
