Today I'm Depressed

My depression has always been cyclic, getting worse near the end of each calendar month, and today, I'm feeling it.

  1. Clayton,

Continue pressing on, even if just crawling. Try not to feel bad about feeling bad.: I have no idea how it feels, but I know that Paul got very depressed..."despairing of life itself..."

    Will remember you in prayer.

  2. Hang in there. You have friends you don't even know. :)

  3. I'm right there with you C. Been a very, very hard week. All we can do is look for that little light in the darkness and stumble our way to it. For me, that little light is weather warm enough to ride my motorcycle. For you, maybe warm, clear weather so you can roll out dah scope.

If you bump in to someone in the dark...it's probably me.

  5. Fascinating. If it doesn't run freely, that is, get out of phase with the essentially artificial human calendar, I strongly suggest trying cognitive therapy, which I found to be very useful starting in the early '80s. Because there's clearly something keeping it in sync with the calendar.

Nowadays they've added a "behavioral" aspect to it, which as far as I can tell at worst causes no harm. Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy is the basic popular book to get started with it (no outside help is required), it's so useful I always keep at least one extra copy around to hand to a friend if needed.
