I still need a lot of sleep
whenever I start to think that I am nearly recovered, I remember that I am still sleeping 11 to 12 hours a night. My wife compares it to how a newborn spends most of the day asleep building neurons.

One of the more obnoxious aspects of being truly disabled.
ReplyDeleteYou think you're doing good, maybe even great ... and you are, compared to various points in the past before treatment. But when you take a step back and look at things on an absolute scale, especially if you compare to what you could do pre-disability ... not so much :-(.
Still, it could be worse, as you've noted with e.g. those others you met in rehabilitation.
