Department of Justice Called

Or rather someone with an East Indian accent called to say the U.S. Department of Justice as about to an enforcement action against me.  The rest of the message was doubtless a chance to give my credit card number to pay several thousand dollars to prevent it.  I received the same call twice in two hours.  These guys are not too smart.  Ande I thought Indiaas full of really smart people!

    Spammers intentionally make mistakes and give other clues. It helps to select the suckers that are their targets from everyone else. Maybe the same dynamic is happening with this scam.

    Sadly, the elderly are common targets.

    This scam has been circulating a lot. Can't figure out who is dumb enough to fall for it.
