Well, what would you do? You’re a top civil servant with more than 25 years of government service. You’ve worked for Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Theresa May. You went through Brexit hell as a lead negotiator. You were sacked by Boris Johnson and were then brought back by Keir Starmer.

You land a plum job as permanent undersecretary in the Foreign Office and do your boss a favour by appointing his man as ambassador to the US. You’ve already got a knighthood; that peerage is only a matter of time away. Then it all blows up in your face and the prime minister sacks you and trashes your reputation in parliament.

Call it the revenge of the nerd. On Monday we had the case for the prosecution during Keir Starmer’s statement to the Commons. On Tuesday, we got Olly Robbins giving his defence before the foreign affairs select committee. And, in its way, it was quietly damning. Mostly of the government, occasionally – if inadvertently – of himself.

Throughout, Robbins presented himself as a fundamentally decent man. Someone who lived and breathed public service. The sort of man Starmer believes himself to be yet somehow isn’t. An ingenu for whom process is everything. A man governed by ritual. You would guess his sock drawer is pristine and numbered. Someone crushed by his recent sacking. Heartbroken at losing a job he loved.

At one point, he insisted that the two books he knew by heart were the civil service manual and the Book of Common Prayer. Blessed are the geeks. For they shall inherit the Earth. Just a shame that Olly never got to the bit in the prayer book about anything to do with Peter Mandelson always ending in a vale of tears. A shadow of darkness. And unlike previous misdemeanours, this time there shall be no resurrection for him. Possibly not even for Olly or Keir.

"Trump Must Have Known About Epstein"

This has become the preferred narrative for people who can't find evidence that Trump was involved. And private citizen Donald Trump was supposed to do what? Go make a citizen's arrest? 2/9/26 Miami Herald:

President Donald Trump has repeatedly maintained that he had no knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex crimes. But in July 2006, just as Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal sex charge became public, Trump called then-Palm Beach police chief Michael Reiter to tell him that Epstein’s activities with teenaged girls were well known in both New York and Palm Beach.

“Thank goodness you’re stopping him, everyone has known he’s been doing this,” Trump told Reiter, according to a 2019 FBI interview with Reiter contained in the Justice Department’s Epstein case files. The interview, conducted in October 2019 and not previously reported, has shed new light on Trump’s involvement in the early stages of the 2006 Jeffrey Epstein investigation in Palm Beach, Florida. It also raises questions about how much Trump knew about Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s crimes. Reiter told FBI agents that Trump revealed that Epstein’s associate, Maxwell, was Epstein’s “operative,” and that Trump said “she is evil and to focus on her,” according to the report. Trump told Reiter that “he was around Epstein once when teenagers were present and Trump ‘got the hell out of there,’” the report said. Trump also told Reiter that he threw Epstein out of his Mar-a-Lago club.

Has Our Government Does Anything Besides Investigate Epstein?

Do you have idea what a million more documents means?  What else has DOJ done the last 20 years?

Grand Jury Transcripts Release

12/9/25 CNBC:

 A New York federal judge on Tuesday ordered the unsealing of grand jury materials and other documents related to the prosecution of Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite convicted in 2021 of procuring underage girls to be sexually abused by Jeffrey Epstein.

Judge Paul Engelmayer's order came at the request of the Department of Justice, which cited the Epstein Files Transparency Act that Congress passed last month.

So what will Democrats claim now?  Trump's DOJ asked for their release and here they are. This 12/8/25 Bloomberg News article is paywalled but the headline shows that the PreCrime Investigation Division now has a PreNews Reporting Division: "As Epstein Files Deadline Nears, Here's What Might Emerge."

Epstein's Underlings Are Perhaps As Sleazy As Epstein

Democrat Delegate Stacey Plaskett, the Virgin Islands’ non-voting member of Congress, garnered headlines recently when it came to light that she took direction from sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during a 2019 congressional hearing.

Her relationship with Epstein is especially notable because Plaskett herself had “private nude images” of her stolen by her own ex-staffers, who used them to attempt to sabotage her re-election campaign. The husband of one of the culprits was, like Epstein, later found dead.

It gets worse the deeper you read.

Even If They Are Not Implicated in His Crimes, A Lot of Important Americans Are Going to Look Bad

 11/20/25 CNN:

They are titans of industry and best-selling authors, world-renowned scientists and banking moguls, top-tier journalists and political power players.

In message after message, they often turned to the same man for advice, for connections, and to banter and trade gossip about President Donald Trump.

That man, Jeffrey Epstein, was already a registered sex offender after a 2008 conviction for soliciting prostitution with a minor – but that did not seem to deter his pen pals, some of whom even looked to him for guidance on avoiding their own sexual scandals.

There are scads of references to Trump but as the article admits, they are overwhelming hostile statements by Epstein, with no evidence of Trump's involvement or knowledge of Epstein's crimes.

There is Something Called Double Hearsay in Law

When A reports what B told him that C told B.  As flaky as that sounds, Federal Rule of Evidecce sec. 805:

Hearsay within hearsay is not excluded by the rule against hearsay if each part of the combined statements conforms with an exception to the rule.

This must be why reporters are relying on what I would have to call the "double hearsay of scum" rule.  11/18/25 Newsnation:

(NewsNation) — Mark Epstein, the brother of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, tells NewsNation that his brother revealed he had “dirt” on President Donald Trump.

Epstein joined “CUOMO” days after Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released thousands of never-before-seen emails.

Earlier Monday, Trump called for the release of the files, in a reversal of course for the president. Mark Epstein told NewsNation that he believes the FBI is participating in a cover-up of the files relating to his brother, Jeffrey.

“I’ve been recently told the reason they’re going to be releasing these things, and the reason for the flip is that they’re sanitizing these files,” Epstein alleged.

Epstein doubled down on his claims, alleging FBI Director Kash Patel is participating in a cover-up of the way his brother died behind bars.

“He was the one who said in his testimony ‘you know a suicide when you see one.’ I had a laugh. How many suicides has that j****** seen?”

I am also trying to figure what slur starts with J applies to Patel.

Yes, a guy who pimps out teenagers is such a reliable source of moral judgment.  And secondhand?

 

 

Democrat Epstein Campaign Takes a Democratic Scalp

11/17/25 ABC News:

Larry Summers, a former Treasury secretary under President Bill Clinton and the former president of Harvard University, said he's stepping back from public life after his apparent conversations with Jeffrey Epstein were released last week by the House Oversight Committee.

"I am deeply ashamed of my actions and recognize the pain they have caused. I take full responsibility for my misguided decision to continue communicating with Mr. Epstein," Summers said in a statement on Monday.

Summers is currently a member of Harvard's faculty, according to the Harvard Crimson.

"While continuing to fulfill my teaching obligations, I will be stepping back from public commitments as one part of my broader effort to rebuild trust and repair relationships with the people closest to me," he said.

It has been previously reported that Summers maintained a relationship with Epstein for many years, particularly during Summers’ term as president of Harvard from 2001 to 2006.

He flew at least four times on Epstein’s aircraft, according to flight records made public during litigation against Epstein, and he was the top official at Harvard during a time when the university received millions in gifts from Epstein.

All of those gifts were received prior to Epstein’s guilty plea in Florida in 2008 to charges of solicitation of prostitution with a minor, according to the university’s review of its Epstein connections....

No Epstein survivor has alleged wrongdoing by Summers and there is no public record evidence to suggest Summers was involved in any of Epstein’s crimes. However, the newly released emails suggest a closer bond between the two men than has been previously reported. [emphasis added]

The messages just made public include a number of exchanges about dating advice that appear to demonstrate a close relationship between the two that continued long after Epstein’s 2008 conviction in Florida, and lasted until at least a few months before Epstein's death in August 2019.

In one March 2019 email exchange, Epstein gives Summers advice, though the context is unclear and the woman involved is not named. “I said what are you up to. She said ‘I’m busy’. I said awfully coy u are,” Summers wrote to Epstein in the lengthy email. “Shes smart. –making you pay for past errors,” Epstein responded, in part.

 Summers' error was keeping in contact with a convicted child molester and pimp.  Whatever professional contacts Epstein could provide would seem irrelevant with Epstein's history.

By the time Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to soliciting prostitution from an underage girl, he had established an enormous network of wealthy and influential friends. Emails made public this week show the crime did little to diminish the desire of that network to stay connected to the financier.

Thousands of documents released by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday offer a new glimpse into what Epstein’s relationships with business executives, reporters, academics and political players looked like over a decade.

Curiously, while many emails mention Trump none are with Trump.  Epstein clearly hated Trump.  This alone argues in Trump's favor: a pedophile hated Trump.

Obsessing Over Trump

11/14/25 CNN:

CNN’s review of thousands of pages of Epstein’s emails shows that Trump was one of the figures he returned to often. Across exchanges with lawyers, journalists, business contacts and familiar acquaintances, Epstein repeatedly invoked Trump — sometimes to offer analysis of his behavior, sometimes to gossip, and sometimes simply to position himself as someone with rare insight into the man who had become president.

The emails suggest that Trump remained a fixation for Epstein, as he’s frequently mentioned numerous times over a span of nearly a decade — including long after their friendship ended.

And now Democrats are obsessed about Epstein and Trump.  The CNN article lists lots of emails but mostly deals in innuendo:

In one exchange with former Obama White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler, discussing Michael Cohen, Trump’s longtime fixer who had flipped on him, Epstein added, “i know how dirty Donald is.” 

The Democrats are reading pedophilia into that.  I could read real estate development practices into that.  Or adultery.  There is nothing the Democrats can seem to find.

 

Someone Was Just Fired for Epstein Friendship

"LONDON — Peter Mandelson was sacked as Britain’s ambassador to Washington on Thursday amid fresh revelations about his friendship with disgraced financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein."

Lots of people were Epstein’s friend at some point. What was different?

"Emails published by the Sun newspaper this week revealed Mandelson urged Epstein to “fight for early release” when he was facing charges in June 2008 over soliciting a minor. “Your friends stay with you and love you,” he wrote.

“I think the world of you and I feel hopeless and furious about what has happened. I can still barely understand it,” Mandelson also said."

 7/15/25 The Hill reports on what Epstein's lawyer says about the "clients' list."

Jeffrey Epstein’s former lawyer Alan Dershowitz said two judges in New York are suppressing information about the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender’s case, not the Trump administration....

Dershowitz, who helped get a plea deal for Epstein in 2008, said that there’s no Epstein “client list,” just a redacted FBI affidavit from accusers. 

“There are several of them from accusers that accuse Jeffrey — that accuse various people of having improper sex, and that has been redacted, the names of the people accused have been blacked out. Now, of course, because I was lawyer and I did all the investigations, I know who all these people are,” Dershowitz said Monday in an appearance on NewsNation’s “Cuomo.” 

The former lawyer argued none of the people in the affidavit are figures currently holding a public office. 

“Some of them were previously in office. Some of them are dead. But there is no client list,” he told host Chris Cuomo. “And the redactions could be undone if you go to court.”

“So, many of the things that are being suppressed are being suppressed by two judges in Manhattan, and they’re doing it largely to protect the alleged accusers who are, in the view of the judges, victims, even though we don’t know what their actual status is,” he added.

Dershowitz reiterated he cannot disclose more information due to judge’s orders, but said Attorney General Pam Bondi and Trump were “not responsible” for missing information.

“I don’t know of any information that they could disclose that they haven’t disclosed. Now maybe there is some, but I’m simply not aware of it,” he said. “And so, I think it’s important to place the blame where the blame deserves to be placed.”

That list, unredacted, might be very interesting, but victims' recollections depend on being to accurately identify who these people were at the time of the offense.  For a famous person, this is unlikely to be difficult, but for anyone else, this might be hearsay, in which case judges regarding those in the affadavit as victims could actually be true if they were not whom the victims thought they were.

This just keeps getting weirder.  7/14/25 Petapixel reports thst Wired turned over the "raw footage" from Epstein’s cell to experts who report that it was edited by Adobe Premiere Pro from two different sources videos in May.  It is hard to imagine that anyone would go to this much trouble but not know about Metadata.  

I am reminded of Obama's birth certificate that was grossly and obviously constructed in PhotoShop, probably to provoke more conspiracy theories.

Was Trump on the Lolita Express?

 Another popular leftist belief.  I grabbed the first 10 articles on news.google.com with Trump and "Lolita Express" in them.  The first that mentions both (other than PR for the next offensive Borat movie), is.#2:

Bill Clinton

Obvious, but still needs to be stated. Bill Clinton was a very close friend of Epstein’s back in the day, constantly attending fundraisers and going on international trips with the mogul. None that we know of while he was president, but it’s still important to acknowledge the power and out of office president can still have. 

While he does appear on the Lolita Express logs, he technically is never shown flying to Little St. James, or Epstein Island. He flew to multiple other cities with Epstein aboard his private jet, and even took a trip to Africa, but never to the Caribbean. He has allegedly had interactions with some of Epstein’s victims, though Clinton denies knowing anything about the sex trafficking activities. 

Donald Trump

The current US president was in similar circles as Epstein back in the day, so it’s no surprise Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump became close. Epstein spent a good amount of time at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, and allegedly would recruit girls for his sex trafficking circle from Trump’s employees. 

While Trump’s contact info was in the little black book, it seemed more casual than anything else. Trump never flew on Epstein’s plane, and there’s no connection to the president being on Epstein’s island at all.

In 2004, a mansion called Maison De L’amitie, ironically translating to House of Friendship, went up for sale in Palm Beach. Being a lucrative property, both real estate baron Donald Trump and investor Jeffrey Epstein had their eyes on the prize. 

The bidding war began. It nearly ended their friendship, with each accusing the other of not having enough money. Donald Trump even banned Jeffrey Epstein from Mar-a-Lago. The ban was because Epstein was being inappropriate with a guest’s underage daughter. 

The friendship was well over by 2008 after Jeffrey Epstein was found guilty of soliciting a prostitute and soliciting a minor. Donald Trump now denies that he and Epstein were ever friends. According to a 2018 interview with Miami attorney Bradley Edwards, a prosecutor in the Epstein case, Trump was more than willing to discuss details with him about Epstein.

Clinton took over two dozen trips on Epstein’s Boeing 727 airborne sex den dubbed “The Lolita Express” to the island the locals referred to as “pedo island” and “orgy island.”

The man wagged his finger in the faces of Americans and lied that “he did not have sexual relations with that woman.” But we all know the truth in that lie with his impeachment and loss of his law license.

Epstein and Trump were friends for years, with the latter flying the president on his private plane — nicknamed the “Lolita Express” — and Trump once telling New York Magazine he considered Epstein a “terrific guy.” They allegedly fell out in 2004 — before federal investigators started looking into Epstein the first time — over a real-estate purchase. Trump has since clarified that he was “not a fan” of Epstein’s, but Maxwell? He continues to wish her well.

It seems to be a style publication--hardly deep journalism.

The flight logs of his "Lolita Express" private jet contain many of the same names (Bill Clinton appears on the logs over a dozen times).

Epstein's "little black book" of contacts has over 1,000 names, reports Bloomberg: "including Ralph Fiennes, Alec Baldwin, David Blaine, Jimmy Buffett and Courtney Love; media figures including Charlie Rose, Mike Wallace and Barbara Walters; former Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak, former British prime minister Tony Blair, industrialist David Koch and the late Salomon Brothers Chief Executive Officer John Gutfreund and his wife, Susan," in addition to Clinton and Trump.

The article tries hard to blame Trump for Epstein's "suicide" but never claims Trump flew with him.

Underage Girls, to Her Knowledge

One of the unsealed documents is a deposition of Giuffre in which she says Maxwell directed her to have sex with Britain’s Prince Andrew and former New Mexico governor Bill Richardson, among other prominent men. (Buckingham Palace has put out a statement denying this. Richardson’s spokesperson also denied this in a statement to CNBC, saying, “These allegations and inferences are completely false.”)

In a partial transcript of her deposition on November 14, 2016, Giuffre is asked to identify errors in statements attributed to her by reporter Sharon Churcher. Giuffre put check marks next to a handful of claims on a list, indicating that she took issue with them. She put a check next to this statement: “Donald Trump was also a good friend of Jeffrey’s. He didn’t partake in any sex with any of us but he flirted with me. He’d laugh and tell Jeffrey, ‘you’ve got the life.’”

The article quotes Giuffre that she never saw Trump and Epstein together or Trump at an Epstein property. It also says Trump flew on Epstein's plane at least once. 

You would think if this was so clearly true it would appear in many articles not just magazine and one style magazine, and not be contradicted by other sources.  This would be big news.

You can see why Trump is down on fake news.  Two of 10 sources make this claim, only one of which could qualify as news.  Multiple sources either make no mention of this supposed fact or reject its factuality.

Daily Mail mentions Trump might be called as a witness:

An unnamed woman is suing Jeffrey Epstein's estate and claims that he took her to Mar-a-Lago when she was 14 and was showed to Donald Trump

She claims Epstein 'playfully' elbowed Trump and said: 'This is a good one, right?' during the introduction

There is no suggestion Trump knew she was underage or was involved in any abuse 

The unnamed woman claims she was the late pedophile's 'guinea pig' and named Trump as a possible witness to Epstein's years of abuse

 

How Did Epstein Become a Billionaire (Is He?)

7/11/19 New York Intelligencer discusses how real hedge fund billionaires have never heard of Epstein's firm, nor do they know of any any customers.  They suggest that whatever money is invested may be under threat of blackmail:

I think he’s engaged in blackmail. The reason I think this is that I read the Palm Beach police report when they did the search warrant. Epstein had advanced warning they were coming, so he scrubbed the place as much as he could, but he left wires and audiovisual cables for uploading video files to computers, and I guess the Palm Beach Police themselves installed some of his audiovisual surveillance equipment in his residence — it’s a service they apparently do, putting in security cameras for residents. And some of his victims, like Virginia Roberts, in her court filings, said that Epstein remarked to her that “information is king,” and mentioned that Bill Clinton was there because “he owes me a favor.” He bragged that that’s how powerful he was. So I suspect, based on that evidence, that’s it’s likely, since that’s the way Epstein operates, is he uses information to his advantage. Does he get investment money for his hedge fund that way? That’s a strong possibility. Does he not have to pay back investors maybe using the blackmail information as a threat? That’s a possibility.

Hint: If you are rich or powerful, or plan to be so, don't do anything that might be criminal or embarrassing in front of a possibly hidden video camera.  Even better:  don't do anything that might be criminal or embarrassing.  The scrubbed Wikipedia page has been unscrubbed.
