A Really Bad Idea: Livestreaming Maj. Hasan's Execution

1. I do not see this as deterring any jihadists. Islam worships death, not life.

2. It seems rather prurient in the modern world.

3. It will just reinforce the European view of as savages (unlike those civilized October 7th murderers).

4. I suppose if it were pay-per-view to raise money for next-of-kin there might be an economic benefit but that is not going to happen.

5. It will inflame a population already on the edge of radicalization.

UPDATE: I am wondering if Trump is trolling the left.  Once he drops the livestream, they will have nothing to say.

UPDATE 2: People wearing "Free Luigi" T-shirts and images of Kirk dying lack any moral standing.

  1. I don’t care what the jihadis nor the Europeans think. I certainly do not buy the argument that will somehow create more baddies; the bad guys have their own agenda to expand, and I think this argument is used only to demoralized and squelch our own efforts.

I care only what we think, and a lot of us, especially fellow vets, need to see this guy die. He has been allowed to breathe air far too long. The Obama’s administration's handling of this was a deliberate slap in the face to our military members in particular, and the west in general. Pressing to get this done and televising it is exactly the right antidote to this. And it’s certainly something that a future Democrat (spit) Administration can’t undo with an autopen.

Frankly, all our government execution should be public, not tucked away in semi secrecy. Transparency serves.
