LED Light Bulbs Are Taking Over My House

The pantry light (52W incandescent) was just replaced with a 10W LED.  Much brighter in there.  The 60W CFL in my drill press is now a 10W LED bulb.  The exterior lighting fixtures still strobe with LED bulbs.  We'll replace these fixtures with one that have LED bulbs already in them.

  1. Still not have as full of spectrum as incandescent light bulb. Still much better than compact fluorescent bulb.

  2. What brand(s) of LED lights are you buying? I just bought a house with old wiring (at best, cloth armored Romex/NM), so while I'm upgrading that, they're particularly attractive.

  3. Personally, I rather like the Cree ones that Instapundit recommended. (Only problem I now have is a whole load of 100 watt incandescents I stocked up on. I actually could use a 40 for this one thing...)

  4. I have a handful of 100w daylight leds in my home and I love them so much more than the florescents. The florescents burned my eyes but these do not.
