The slide tells soldiers to “understand that you may encounter individuals in barracks, bathrooms, or shower facilities with physical characteristics of the opposite sex despite having the same gender marker in DEERS.” [The military's personnel system] The next bullet point adds, “all Soldiers should be respectful of the privacy and modesty concerns of others. However, transgender Soldiers are not required or expected to modify or adjust their behavior based on the fact that they do not ‘match’ other Soldiers.” This is a first. The military is normally in the business of telling soldiers to “modify or adjust their behavior” all the time.

More Evidence the Democrats Are Crazy
A U.S. Army training manual for the new transgendered army, fortunately put on hold by Trump, tells female soldiers that men using their showers is something to get used to.

ReplyDeleteSome 30 years ago I recall reading about an anti discrimination case involving female correctional officers who believed that merely guarding other women was not giving them sufficient opportunity for advancement; they wanted to guard the men, too, which included guarding them during their showers. This was objected to strenuously by the prisoners themselves, but their objections fell on deaf ears. They were prisoners, after all, and men, so what do their feelings in the matter count for?
Now all the precedent-setting decisions strike back.
