Becoming a Fan of Norwegian TV
The Heavy Water War is about the various efforts to prevent Norway's deuterium refinement facility from shipping heavy water to Germany for Werner Heisenberg's fortunately unsuccessful nuclear weapons program. It's got action, human drama, and you may even learn a bit about the nuclear power program of the time.

Have you seen "Occupied"? It's about a stealth Russian occupation of Norway. Seems to me there's a lot of anxiety in Europe about America taking leave of international leadership.
ReplyDeleteSomewhere on the web is a site with photos of the sunken ferry, and the drums, with stories of the various people involved, both directly, and bystanders. Typical war story, with unnecessary deaths, etc...
