"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."

One of the American medical missionaries in Liberia who has been infected with Ebola has applied John 15:13.  From July 31, 2014 ABC News:
An "experimental serum" to treat the virus arrived for the two infected Americans, but there was only enough for one person, according to Samaritan’s Purse.
Dr. Kent Brantly, who noticed his Ebola symptoms and quarantined himself last week, offered the dose to the other infected American, missionary Nancy Writebol.

  1. Greater love has no man...True.

Not many examples of a need for that love, in this day and age.

It is heartening to hear this story. Even though I'm saddened that the doctor succumbed (or likely will succumb) to the disease.
